Presentation:
This presentation explores the faces and lives of Native Alaskans, highlighting powerful portraits, subsistence traditions, and stories of resilience amid rapid modernization.

Through intimate imagery and firsthand experiences, you will get a visual narrative of cultural strength, adaptation and identity in Alaska’s remote communities.

Bio:
After living for a year in the remote village of Eek, Alaska, Wayde Carroll developed a deep connection with the Alaska Native community. He sought opportunities to spend time in as many villages as possible.

He spent the next 20 years living and working full-time in Alaska as an editorial, commercial, and architectural photographer.
