Photography is a complex art form that transcends the mere act of pointing a camera at a scene and pressing the shutter release. It requires a thoughtful consideration of the myriad of components within the viewfinder frame, as each element plays a crucial role in shaping the resulting image and influencing the viewer’s experience.

Photographers often face a bustling landscape full of details, colors, and contrasts. This challenge demands a keen eye for recognizing and isolating the various graphical elements present in the scene.

In this presentation, you will learn how to master this skill to transform a chaotic environment into a powerful visual narrative, capturing emotions and stories in a way that resonates deeply with your audience.

Bio:
A software engineer by trade, Silvana Della Camera began her fascination with photography as a very small child. The early fascination turned into a lifelong obsession. Decades later her passion never faltered, but her view of the world evolved. Photographing what the eye can't perceive is what she loves best to capture.

As the past President of the Stony Brook Camera Club in New York, Silvana was the recipient of many photography awards. Her images have appeared in Lighthouse Digest, Yankee Magazine, and the Boston Globe, and were featured in Nikon’s 100th birthday celebration.

Silvana has authored “Breakers of Darkness – The Majesty of Lighthouses”, “Sights Beyond the Spectrum – Digital Infrared Photography”, “Night Shades – A Guide to Photography After Dark”, and “Master the Benro Polaris”.
