Presentation:
Photojournalism’s greatest strength is its power to educate. In recent years, “animal photojournalism” has emerged as an essential medium for exposing our fraught relationship with the natural world, illuminating what is possible when we confront systemic animal harm.
In this presentation, Jo-Anne McArthur draws upon twenty-five years of field experience to share stories captured through her own lens and those of the many photographers at her non-profit, “We Animals”. Together, they demonstrate how strategic visual storytelling serves as a vital piece of the puzzle in the global mission to reduce animal cruelty and foster a more compassionate future.
