What we’re about
We are a group of Maryland Vocational Rehabilitation (DORS) clients in Montgomery County, MD who regularly support one another in brainstorming specific, concrete ways to make consistently make progress towards our individual employment and career goals.
We as a collective also engage at times in systemic advocacy work to advocate for positive, specific improvements within the DORS system.
Some about the group facilitator- I used to work as an Employment Advocate at Protection and Advocacy for People with Disabilities for two years. During that time, I received training from the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) on how the Vocational Rehabilitation system truly should be operating.
