First DORS Employment Support Navigation Meeting!

We are a group of DORS (Maryland Vocational Rehabilitation) clients who regularly meet to brainstorm ways to make specific concrete strategies for assisting one another in making progress towards our career and employment goals.

Some background about the group facilitator- I used to work for two years as an Employment Advocate at Protection and Advocacy for People with Disabilities. During my time in that role, I learned from the National Disability Rights Network how to support people with disabilities in accessing and navigating the Vocational Rehabilitation system.

For the past year and half I have been supporting parents of adults with disabilities in navigating DORS services in Montgomery County, MD. I now would like to start a group just for the DORS clients themselves.

I am requesting $10 in member dues per meeting to help cover the cost of providing this group. I will do my best to assist each of us in making progress towards our employment goals to best of my capacity during each of our meetings.
