Pennypack On The Delaware (5 miles)

We'll follow the Baxter trail from Pennypack on the Delaware Park to Pleasant Hill Park. This trail is only open on weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day, so let's take advantage of the opportunity while we can.
We'll have beautiful views of the Delaware river at both ends of the trail. In between we'll walk through some pretty natural areas and some less attractive industrial parts of Philadelphia. The trail is paved and easy to follow. The trail is about 2.5 miles long, so the round trip will be about 5 miles.

There is a small sign for the park on the main road, next to a much bigger sign for Riverview Home.

We'll meet in the parking lot near the pier. I'll be wearing a bright orange sun hat.
