What we’re about
This is a space for men who are (likely) feeling a bit lost, stuck, and alone—and who are wondering:
```
”Am I the only one?”
```
(hint: you’re not)
It’s a monthly, drop-in circle for men who want better, more meaningful relationships; who want to connect deeply to their lives and purpose; who want to find meaning beyond the hustle and grind of work.
Each month will focus on a different theme, giving you the opportunity to explore different facets of your life, your relationships, your masculinity.
What you can expect:
- Agreements that support the creation of a judgement-free container;
- Group check-ins - understand who is in the room with you and how they are arriving;
- Group shares - share to the depth that you are comfortable. Pass if you need to. See yourself in the stories of other men;
- Partner and trio shares - using small groups to go a bit deeper and develop our capacity to listen and connect;
- Skill building - This is especially true if you keep coming. We’ll work on skills like listening, presence, and connecting with our emotions (yeah, it’s a skill).
And more—think movement, music, poetry. Maybe even some guests.
The group is limited to 12 men to ensure that we are able to have the kind of conversations necessary in a space like this.

Men's Circle: Happy Hour Version
Retreat, https://www.google.com/search?q=retreat+greenlake&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari#, 6900 East Greenlake Way N., Seattle, WA, USCurious about the men's circle, but unsure?
Interested in getting to know some of the guys who have been coming a bit better?
Looking for a place to connect and get to know some other good men?
Well, this happy hour is for you.
I picked a spot that has food, tea, coffee, beer, wine, and more so you can tap into what feels good for you.
This is a free opportunity to connect and learn more about what we are up to with this circle - and to get to know some pretty cool guys (if I do say so myself).
Details
- Day: Tuesday, January 13th
- Time: 6p - 8p (ish)
- Location: Retreat Greenlake (6900 E Green Lake Way N Seattle, WA 98115)
Retreat has all the adult beverages—from coffee and tea to beer and cocktails (and water! 😉).
Come, grab a drink of your choice and join other guys who are interested in more than just the typical talk-over-drinks.
Sure, we'll have some of that. But we'll also take it a layer or two deeper.
If the weather's looking good, we'll take it for a walk around Green Lake (though I think those with booze-based drinks will have to've completed theirs).
Feel free to get there at the top of the gathering or anytime after. If we've gone for a walk, I will have shared my cell with you after you register so you can track us down.
Questions? Ping me at hello (at) circ (dot) al - I'd love to answer them!6 attendees- $45.00

January: Monthly In-Person Drop-In Men's Circle

January's Theme: Wants and Needs. Wait . . . I have needs?
Let's be clear: there's a difference between being 'needy' and having 'needs'. Are you human? Well, that means you have needs. If you're not sure what those are (or if you've mostly heard that you are 'needy'), then this is for you.

These groups will be facilitated by me, Gregory Flynn, of circ.al. I stepped into my first men’s circle in 2008 and have been facilitating them in one way or another since 2012. In 2020, at the very beginning of the pandemic, I created Men Connecting, a men’s circle that’s still meeting weekly. In 2022 and 2023 I hosted The Bind, a podcast for men and the people who loved them (rebooted in the form of be.wild.er), a new project I've launched on Substack).
I’ve facilitated retreats and workshops for men and for mixed gender groups, as well as leadership and culture development projects within the non-profit, public and private sectors.
I live in North Seattle with my wonderful wife and rambunctious dog. I love to spend my time with good friends, over a cup of tea, as well as in the woods and on the water.
This work is important to me. Indeed, I believe it’s critical in our day and age.
If you’re a guy who is wondering where the script went, who feels like there’s not much of a place for you, and when you hear guys in the man-o-sphere talk (you know, Rogan, et al), you smack your head nearly as hard as I do, this could be the space for you.
Join me for the first of these drop in sessions on September 30th in Phinney Ridge. Exact location shared upon registration.
You can register here.
## Cost
It’s important to me that this space is available to everyone. With that in mind, I’m offering this at three different tiers.
- $60 - Pay this rate if you have the resources to support other men who could use a hand up
- $45 - Pay this rate if you regularly meet your monthly needs easily
- $30 - Pay this rate if you regularly find yourself stretching to meet your monthly needs
If all of these are out of reach for you right now, don’t hesitate to email me at hello [at] circ [dot] al - we’ll figure something out to make sure that you can have this experience.
