SF Game Dev feat Twilio Quest: A video game to teach developers coding and APIs

Details

We are pleased to welcome Twilio to our SF Game Development Meetup to come speak on how they developed Twilio Quest. TwilioQuest is an educational video game designed to teach a new generation of developers how to change the world with code. The game was developed with the HTML5 game engine called Phaser and was exported using Electron to make the game a standalone desktop application. The goal of the game is to teach developers how to use Twilio APIs and learn how to code. Hear from Kevin Whinnery, Lead Developer of TwilioQuest and Ryan Kubrik, Developer Educator of Twiliio Quest on how they created the React application that drives the UI and business logic of the video game. Also thank you to our sponsor Bugsnag. Hear from Rosty Sokolov, Solutions Engineer at Bugsnag on how to track bugs in your Unity app or deployed mobile game.

Make sure to RSVP and attend virtually, this is a very special event you will not want to miss! This is a great opportunity to network with your fellow game developers and learn how video games are being used in large organizations to teach developers and students skills in programming and interfacing with APIs.
