Samantha Rudolph - (LIGHTNING TALK)
The electrical grid has advanced very little since its inception, yet what has radically changed is the way it is used. An average household consumes about 48kWh of energy a day. Comparatively, a single Tesla requires 85kWh of energy to charge. Our aging infrastructure will not be able to handle this extreme increase in consumption and yet, we as people will not be able to handle repeated blackouts as we have become more reliant on energy than ever. A black out is more than just a loss of productivity – it can put a patient on life support at risk. We are on the cusp of the biggest energy crisis known to mankind of which the majority of people are wholly unaware. The only solution: technological innovation.
Olivier Beaulieu - (LIGHTNING TALK)

Myriam Jessier - (BIG TALK)
