AWS Terraform GameDay
McGill University Trottier Building Room 0100, 3630 Rue University, Montreal, QC, CAJoin us on Thursday, May 21st at 6:00 PM for an AWS Terraform GameDay — a hands-on, team-based challenge where you'll sharpen your real-world AWS and Terraform skills in a fast-paced, gamified environment. Picture this: you're the cloud engineer for a booming startup, your Terraform code is looking clean… and then something breaks. It's a race against time (and the leaderboard) to recover your infrastructure before the clock runs out.
No step-by-step instructions. No hand-holding. Just you, your team, and a live cloud infrastructure scenario where every decision counts.
We're thrilled to welcome two incredible guests for this event: Chris Williams, Developer Relations Manager at HashiCorp and AWS Hero, and Allen-Michael (AM) Grobelny, Principal Developer Advocate for GameDay at AWS — bringing their combined GameDay expertise straight to Montreal!***
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Workshop Requirements ⚠️
This is a hands-on, competitive workshop!- 💻 Bring your laptop (fully charged — power outlets may be limited)
- 🛠️ Terraform CLI installed on your machine (installation guide)
- 🧠 Basic familiarity with Terraform and AWS is recommended — you don't need to be an expert, but knowing your way around a `.tf` file will help!
- 👥 Teams of 2–4 people — come with a crew or we'll help you find one at the door
