Backgammon night!

🎉 CELEBRATING OUR 8TH SEASON, OUR 420TH FACEBOOK FOLLOWER, OVER 75 YOUTUBE VIDEOS AND OUR 265TH YOUTUBE SUBSCRIBER! 🎉

The Meetup starts at 5:00 PM ⏰, with players arriving gradually between 5:00 and 5:25 PM. Organizers will be on-site shortly after 5:00 PM, and the tournament will begin promptly at 5:30 PM 🕠. This gives everyone time to register, meet fellow players, and warm up with a quick game or two. We ask that you RSVP 📅 in advance—we use the Meetup attendee list to prepare the draw and minimize setup issues. While most of our regulars RSVP early, some join last-minute—and we consistently welcome at least 10 players each week.

We will play a 5-point single-elimination tournament with a 7-point final for enjoyment and Master Points 🏆. When available, the final is recorded and transcribed overnight using eXtreme Gammon for instructional review, and posted on YouTube by Saturday at noon.

There will be ample time to grab a bite 🍴 and socialize during breaks between matches. If you have a board, spares are generally available but bring yours in case we are short 🎲.

La rencontre commence à 17h00 ⏰, et les joueurs arrivent progressivement entre 17h00 et 17h25. Les organisateurs seront sur place peu après 17h00, et le tournoi commencera à l'heure, à 17h30 🕠. Cela donne le temps de s'inscrire, rencontrer les autres joueurs et jouer une petite partie d'échauffement. Nous vous demandons de confirmer votre présence à l’avance 📅 — nous utilisons la liste des participants sur Meetup pour préparer le tirage et éviter les pépins logistiques. La majorité de nos habitués confirment tôt, mais certains nous rejoignent à la dernière minute — et on accueille régulièrement au moins 10 joueurs chaque semaine.

Nous jouerons un tournoi à élimination directe en 5 points avec une finale en 7 points pour le plaisir et pour gagner des points maîtres 🏆. Lorsque disponible, la finale est enregistrée et retranscrite durant la nuit à l’aide d’eXtreme Gammon pour fins d’analyse, puis mise en ligne sur YouTube d’ici le samedi midi.
