Acting Class: From Anger to Empathy
Anger is power. It can harm, protect, or simply be.
Acting helps us find courage and confidence in unlikely places.
It teaches us to honour our fear, anger, doubt, shame, and grief. When we allow ourselves to recognize and accept these feelings, they can become our allies: assertiveness, strength, healthy boundaries. Look deeper, and we find understanding, compassion, and love.
We need this energy to get out of bed, leave the room, start a new project, and go to that concert. We need it to laugh freely when we feel like laughing and cry when we feel like crying.
Tamed, anger can teach us how to love and take care of ourselves and others. Play, and discover how to switch between anger and empathy.
Come out of this class with:
- A deeper connection with yourself, and more acceptance of yourself and others
- A way to befriend your anger and use its energy for what you truly want, while staying in touch with your own heart and the hearts of others
- The experience of meeting yourself and others boldly, and feeling bigger for it
- New roles and behaviours to try, and a voice for the part of you that wants to play, dream, and connect
- Anger you can meet and work with, so you feel protected, stronger, and ready
No acting experience needed. Just show up.
