A nonverbal movement workshop to declutter the mind, ease anxiety and build trust

Your body has its own wisdom. It holds memories, stories, emotions and dreams, and we rarely stop to hear them.

Much of how we connect happens without words: in posture, breath, rhythm and attention. When we let our bodies listen, the mind often quiets, and we can feel more at ease with ourselves and with each other.

What this evening can offer:
✦ A decluttered mind and a few moments of real quiet
✦ Relief from physical and emotional tension and habitual patterns
✦ A calmer, more settled body, which can ease anxiety
✦ Trust in yourself and in others, built without words
✦ The freedom to make mistakes gracefully and still connect

How the evening goes (90 minutes):
50 minutes of nonverbal work. Movement, mirroring and contact improvisation, from solo exploration to partner and group work. No talking. We move from habit to something new, from tension to ease.
40 minutes of improv. Simple, playful scenes and sharing to process what you felt, and to hear what speech sounds like after the silence.

Your choices are always respected.
You can opt out at any point, simply witness from the edge, or ask silently for what you need with a gesture. Touch is optional and always consent-based. No experience needed, and no one is asked to perform.

About the facilitator: MEd, 10+ years of professional acting in Ontario, drama therapist in training, yoga and meditation teacher. Trained in a post-Soviet country, in Canadian theatre schools and at Second City improv. This is a workshop for personal growth and is not a substitute for therapy.
