What we’re about
Friends of Internationals is a branch group of International Students Montreal (ISM). This group is for the young international working professionals in Montreal and who would like to get connected and build up friendship through our events and programs.
We organize fun activities like short trips, apple picking, wine tasting, summer and winter outdoor activities. To promote cultural diversity, we also organize potluck meals, cultural events and language classes. Besides, we work with local churches and Christian organizations to promote and practice hospitality to internationals. We welcome people from different nationalities to join this group to build up good friendships, connections and support network. We will have joint events with international students too.
For better communication, please text Friends to 438-500-0896. A link will then be sent to you through text, and please click on the link to fill up the basic contact information. Our group will use automatic texting system to keep our members updated about our events and activities.
Note:
1. Members are advised to download the Meetup App on your phone for efficient communication.
2. Please add a photo of yourself on your member profile for others to get to know you :)
3. Please cancel your RSVP if you know you can’t make it to an event and inform the organizer. THREE NO SHOWS WITHOUT CANCELLATION WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP.
4. We usually post photos after each event. Unless otherwise stated, we assume we have the implied consent from our members for public posting.
5. Respect each other's cultural differences. Offensive language and behavior to other members will be removed from the group.
