Interesting in bringing back a delicious piece of lost Montréal history in your own urban garden?
The Montréal melon is a rare, historically famous green-fleshed muskmelon. Growing up to 20 pounds with a distinct nutmeg-spiced flavor, it was a luxury dessert item in elite North American hotels before vanishing in the mid-20th century, only to be revived from an Iowa seed bank in 1996.
Now that we can get the seeds online, I'm interested in connecting with others to share knowledge about how to grow them here again here in our urban gardens around the city.
