Machine learning is rapidly becoming a critical part of many businesses, but the challenges of deploying and managing ML models in production can be daunting.

MLOps is a discipline that brings together machine learning, DevOps, and other disciplines to help organizations operationalize ML at scale.

On Thursday, September 14th, we will be hosting our 4th meet-up at the Google Montreal office to discuss the latest advancements in MLOps. Our speakers will focus on how to benefit from micro-services to quickly build a comprehensive mlops stack and the MLOps requirements for Gen AI.

The event will feature a series of talks from expert speakers, as well as opportunities to network with other MLOps professionals.

Registration must only be through the rsvp link. One badge per person will be printed and only guests with a badge can access the Google building. For this event, we can host maximum 70 attendees.

Talks

Use micro-services to quickly build a comprehensive mlops stack (Potloc & Google)

In this talk, gain insights on how Potloc has quickly built a comprehensive mlops stack to automate secured ML models deployments. Explore how to increase Data Scientists' productivity and ensuring engineering best practices. Discuss about the challenges in using serverless to optimize costs and simplicity.

About the speakers:

Hamza is a Sr. Cloud Architect and Customer Engineer at Google. In this role, he is a Technology Advisor and Customer Advocate for Clients in Canada.
He also enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience through teaching in Cloud Computing programs at McGill University.

Vinh is a Sr. ML Engineer at Potloc. In this role, he is responsible for the tested, automated and fast deployment of machine learning models. He is also in charge of implementing engineering best practices among the data science team. Previously, he worked as a Data Scientist for an Airbnb-like company in Paris.

LLMs, Gen AI and MLOps (Google)

This presentation will provide a quick overview of the latest Generative AI models and tools at Google, and discuss how they can be used to create new and innovative products and services.
It will also introduce Generative AI Evaluation Service, a new service that can be used to evaluate the quality, trust, and efficiency of Generative AI models which is one of the most difficult aspects of Gen AI MLOPs.

About the speaker:

Rihana is a Customer Engineer in AI and ML and Generative AI specialist at Google Cloud in Montreal. She has over 6 years of experience in the field of artificial intelligence, with a focus on customer success.
Previously, she worked at IBM in various roles, including Data Science Lead, Tech Lead, and Engagement Lead.
In her personal life, Rihana loves to travel and has studied and worked in four different countries. She is passionate about education and has partnered with the Government of Quebec to build an AI course that is taught in all high schools in Quebec.
