Board Game Nights – Looking for a Few More Players 🎲

We’re putting together a small, regular board-game group for people who enjoy games, good conversation, and meeting new people.

This is a private, non-profit group — no membership fees or anything like that. Eventually, the idea is to have a comfortable circle of people who can meet regularly rather than constantly searching for new players.

📍 ABOUT THE LOCATION: We haven’t selected a game café yet — on purpose! Once we know who is joining, we’ll choose a game café that is as convenient as possible for everyone attending, based on where people are coming from and considering public transit, driving and parking

The idea is not to create a huge Meetup group or one-time events with different people every week. We’d like to eventually build a group of around 8–9 people, (but usually only 4-5 people at a time ), so over time we actually get to know each other and there are usually enough people available for a game night.

We already have a small group with a mix of men and women and different ages, and we’re looking for a few more people who would fit in well.

You don’t need to be an experienced gamer. We enjoy a mixture of lighter social games and games with a little more strategy — things like Ticket to Ride, Century, Codenames, Azul, Just One, Coup, Taboo, Werewolf, Dés Pirates, Scrabble and many others.

A typical night might start with something light, move into a longer main game, and then finish with something easy and fun. We’re not really looking for all-night Monopoly-style games or extremely heavy strategy gaming.

We usually play Friday evenings after 6 PM, with occasional Saturday or Sunday games depending on everyone’s availability. There’s no expectation that everyone attends every week.

We’re mainly looking for people around Montréal-Nord, Ahuntsic, Saint-Léonard and Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension, which makes getting together regularly much easier. We choose locations with public transit, driving and parking in mind.
