Rencontre du mois de octobre des Pythoneux et Pythoneuses de Montréal

Au programme, trois présentations techniques, dont:
* Présentation de Plotly (15 mins)
* Stann sur un projet en IA (10 mins)
* Édith Viau sur la sonification de données avec Python (30 mins, FR)
* Guillaume Pratte, architecte de systèmes chez Outbox sur Bazel est un outil ultra-puissant proposé par Google pour faire des builds de projets informatiques. L'utilisation d'un tel outil peut paraître étrange pour construire des projets écrits dans un langage interprété comme que Python, mais son utilisation dans le cadre d'un monorepo offre de nombreux avantages, particulièrement au niveau de la gestion des dépendances et de la réduction du temps d'exécution des tests unitaires. Nous utilisons Bazel depuis maintenant 4 ans, depuis que nous avons migré nos projets vers un monorepo, et nous vous invitons à venir découvrir cet outil! (40 mins, FR)

L'événement se passe en personne chez Plotly avec une tentative de diffusion en direct sur Youtube. Les présentations techniques seront suivies d'un 5-à-7 (virtuel et physique) pendant lequel tous les participants sont invités à se joindre à nous.

October monthly meeting of the Montréal Pythonistas

This meeting will feature three technical presentations, including:

* Guillaume Pratte, Systems Architect at Outbox on Bazel is an ultra-powerful tool offered by Google to make builds of IT projects. Using such a tool may seem strange to build projects written in an interpreted language such as Python, but its use as part of a monorepo offers many advantages, especially in terms of managing dependencies and reducing the execution time of unit tests. We have been using Bazel for 4 years now, since we migrated our projects to a monorepo and we invite you to come and discover this tool! (40 mins, FR)

The event is in-person in the Plotly office with an attempt to livestream on Youtube. Technical presentations will be followed by a happy hour (both in-person and online) during with we invite all attendees to join us.
