Scottish Dancing Night: Social Dancing & Make New Friends

Details

Discover the joy of Scottish Country Dancing—a traditional social folk dance from Scotland that is alive and thriving in Montreal! Our group brings together locals and newcomers to share lively evenings of dance, music, and community.
Whether you are an experienced dancer or stepping onto the floor for the first time, you will be warmly welcomed. Instructors guide each session in English, pairing beginners with experienced dancers and leading everyone through the basic steps and formations. With practice and encouragement, you will soon be dancing confidently.

What to Expect

  • Engaging social dance evenings in the heart of Montreal
  • Live piano music to accompany the dancing
  • A friendly, inclusive, and safe space for individuals of all backgrounds and identities
  • Opportunities to connect with others while learning a unique cultural tradition

What to Bring

  • Comfortable, flat shoes with soft soles (ballet flats, jazz shoes, or sneakers work well)
  • Clothes you can move in
  • $10 in cash per class
  • Curiosity, energy, and a willingness to try something new

Join us and experience the rhythm, connection, and joy of Scottish Country Dancing in Montreal!
