Organized & hosted by clinical psychologist Dr. Moire Stevenson from Mindfulness Outdoors, with daily yoga classes by Lisa.
NOTE: Don't worry if you do not see many RSVPs. Most people register for this retreat through the Mindfulness Outdoors website.
At this retreat, we will use nature as a background for learning various therapeutic and mindfulness meditation techniques, breathwork, and nervous system regulation practices that you can use in all areas of your life.
The retreat takes place at the stunning Auberge Yoga Salamandre. This Inn is 1 hour from Montreal and 15 minutes from Bromont.
What you will get out of it:
In a beautiful setting where nature is there and easy to access, you will learn how to fully benefit from time spent outside—whether in the great outdoors or the city. You will also learn therapeutic, somatic, and mindfulness-based techniques that you can use in all aspects of your life.
What to expect:
- Beautiful rooms and delicious food
- Connecting with nature and yourself
- Hanging out with other mindful folks
- Practicing mindfulness in a way that is feasible for you to continue when you get back home
- Strategies for knowing your priorities, coping with difficult thoughts, calming your nervous system, moving beyond things that get in your way, and developing better habits
On the Agenda:
- Outdoor yoga and movement
- Mindful hikes and meditative walks with attention to the nature that surrounds us
- Forest bathing by a private river with small pools to swim in
- Guided breathwork sessions to support emotional regulation and embodied presence
- Therapeutic activities to reflect on specific aspects of life and well-being. I will guide you through different mindfulness-based therapeutic techniques, including somatic practices, that we will integrate throughout our various outdoor activities
- Chilling outside by the fire
- Chilling inside in the beautiful Inn
- Other mindful sports and activities like mindful running and yoga
This is an all-inclusive retreat with catering provided by Veganessa
Transportation:
Transportation is not provided by the retreat. If you do not have a car available, there is a bus line through LimoCar that takes you to Bromont Autoparc 74, which is 15 minutes from the retreat centre. If you plan to take LimoCar to Bromont, please contact us at info@moirestevenson.com and we will help coordinate a ride for you from the bus station in Bromont to the retreat center.
We will send out an email to participants to organize carpooling about 1 week prior to the event. we also encourage you to check our Facebook page to coordinate with others.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW
It is important to understand that you attend these events at your own risk.
Most of the activities are relatively low impact, but some are not. It is important to consider your physical condition before engaging in these activities.
We provide small-group and one-on-one guidance tailored to the participants. At the retreats, we focus on what matters to you and the areas in your life you wish to change or reprioritize. Insurance receipts are available upon request. Paying by installments is available.
The ticket below covers access to the site, food (vegetarian/vegan), workshops, yoga, materials, and accommodations in the dormitory.
You can come for the day ($250) or upgrade to a private room or shared room for 2 by either emailing contact@mindfulnessoutdoors.org or registering on the website.

About Dr. Moire Stevenson
Dr. Moire Stevenson is a clinical psychologist, speaker, writer, and mindfulness guide. With a wide range of experience and training, Dr. Stevenson offers various mindfulness-based workshops to improve overall well-being. Her approach involves helping individuals understand what truly matters to them and prioritizing that to live a more fulfilled and balanced life.
Moire is also an avid outdoor enthusiast and founder of Mindfulness Outdoors. With an honours BSc degree in Biochemistry and Biology from Dalhousie University and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Université de Montréal, she is uniquely qualified to guide participants through the therapeutic powers of the outdoors.
