What we’re about
A group who meet to read plays and drafts of plays in progress. We aspire to perform new work as well as read scenes from great plays. Writer support meetups too. Seeking anyone interested in enjoying a good play and helping develop projects in our spontaneous sandbox, stone steps or picnic circle. Montrose Beach, Margate Park, Foster Beach, Hollywood Beach and beyond during daylight, weather permitting. In winter indoors. Locations TBA.

Spreading the News is Lady Gregory's short play (30 minutes) about how misinformation spreads quickly about a proclaimed local murder. I hope we have enough volunteer readers. The group will then take 15 minutes to free write, respond to the play, sketch a plot, explore a character, or write your own 10 minute play. Share your free write, or just listen or converse. Children, Guests, Pot luck picnic snack offerings welcome.
