MMB Crested Butte Weekend

MMB CRESTED BUTTE WEEKEND FINAL PLAN
FRIDAY: DOCTOR PARK | 9:00 AM
Doctor Park is a point-to-point shuttle ride. We’ll meet at the lower shuttle parking area at 9:00 AM, leave a chase vehicle there, load the bikes onto the trucks, and shuttle to the upper parking area.

From the upper parking area, we’ll start with the climb up Doctor Gulch Road. We’ll stop near the top for lunch and photos before hitting the Doctor Park descent.
The ride finishes with a long descent through high-country terrain, aspen forests, and fast, flowing singletrack.

Safe Harbor Agreement: I called and they do not take reservations. They have several large tables and said they doubt our wait will be longer than 30 minutes.
SATURDAY: TRAIL 403 + 401 | 9:00 AM
We’ll meet at the Grand Lodge ready to roll at 0900. I called ahead to scout out day parking, and they confirmed there is free parking nearby.

From the Grand Lodge, we’ll shuttle up to the Trail 403 parking area and leave Jason’s and my trucks there.
We’ll ride approximately four miles of mostly downhill singletrack on Trail 403 until we connect with the 401. This knocks out a good chunk of the fire-road climb and adds some quality singletrack to the ride.
From there, we’ll ride the 401 loop and finish at Brian’s vehicle.
I’ll bring an ice chest full of ice, so bring your favorite post-ride drink to enjoy while Brian shuttles Jason and me back up to retrieve our trucks.
We estimate approximately 16 miles total, with a lot of downhill riding.

Crested Butte is the Wildflower Capital of Colorado, and the Wildflower Festival is happening that same weekend so book early. That means incredible high-country riding for us and plenty for spouses or partners to enjoy.
