IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN ONLINE EVENT at https://learn.moodle.net/
We will be talking about this course and the challenges you might be having at the next in-person Ottawa Moodle Meetup group event.

WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?

Come join the official Moodle MOOC (Massive Open Online Course)!

This free course is designed for anybody who wants to use the Moodle learning platform for teaching, whether it be in a school, a university, a company or just personal interest! This four-week course is also a great opportunity to connect with the vibrant local and global Moodle community dedicated to sharing resources, ideas and anything that could help inspire better teaching practices everywhere.

All participants will receive badges. Those who completed all of the required activities will also receive a certificate. More information about this is available on the course site.

REGISTRATION:

You must register and attend at https://learn.moodle.net/

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

If you can access the Internet using a computer, you have everything you need to attend the Learn Moodle Basics course. Double the fun by bringing a friend and/or colleague.

Don't have a computer? The Ottawa Public Library provides computer workstations at all 33 branches. You just need your library card and PIN. You can even reserve a workstation ahead of time.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:

Learn Moodle Basics starts January 8 and runs for 4 weeks. Because the course is on-line, you can attend the course and complete the assignments anytime you like during each week. It will require between 2 and 4 hours of your time per week to complete the work.

There are a couple of assignment deadlines throughout the course so don't wait until the last minute to get started.
