Moon Drop Coven

The Goals & Purpose of This Coven:
To build a sisterhood focused on communal practices and ritual gatherings, and to build connections and exchange the goodness and power within ourselves. Because what is a witch without her sisters?

Funding:
The rate for all ritual and communal gatherings is $0. Donations are appreciated but it is what you bring that is the most valuable funding this coven can ask for.

Moon Drop Coven's Structure:
While there is no high Priestess leading this coven, I, Fiona Fawn, will be acting as the "Coven Head" or "Witch Head", and what that entails is I am simply your humble host, here to offer events and gatherings for us to commune with each other. There is no democratic/consensus nor a council of Elders. We are united as one in this coven. We work as one. We move as one. Membership is granted through an initation form followed by an initiation ritual at the members first coven gathering. There are no degrees of initiation or requirements for advancing. As I said before, we move as one.

Expectations of Members:
You are truthfull to yourself and your coven sisters, you are non-judgmental towards your coven sisters, you do not steal from your coven sisters, you are non-violent towards your coven sisters, you are gracious towards your coven sisters, you listen to your intuition and trust in your coven sister's intuition when voiced/expressed, and you have faith in yourself and your coven sisters.

Commitment Level Expectations:
You did not join to simply feel things out and "go with the flow" but to be present and share yourself wholeheartedly and authentically, you show warmth and welcome when around your coven sisters, you are mentally and emotionally present around your coven sisters in person, and you are consistent in being present at communal and ritual gatherings.

Rituals/Gatherings & What They're Like:
Rituals will have a simple and open structure of activities corresponding to their esbat/sabbat or significant holiday/moon day. There will be an altar for members to offer food and items to whichever god/goddess/diety they worship. This is where what you bring comes into play. Will you bring musical instruments to guide your sisters into a dance circle? Will you bring a book and share a passage to lead your sisters into a deep and transformative conversation? Will you bring a hearty meal to share with your sisters? Or will you bring divination tools and herbs to assist in our ritual practices? The energy you bring to these gatherings is also important. Check any negativity at the door so that you can be fully present within our space.

How Initiation Is Measured:
The level of truthfulness and authenticity in your responses to the questions in the initiation form (located at the very bottom) will determin your initiation. Once your request to join has been accepted you will go through an initiatiom ritual at your first coven gathering!

Approach To Handling Questions & Dissent:
Activly listening and making sure the question is fully understood before answering, acknowledging and thanking the questioner as the start to the response, pausing a moment to gathering thoughts rather than rushing into an answer, providing a direct answer (it is completely acceptable to not have an answer and to say so and offer to follow up later), remaining calm and confident, and avoiding defensiveness, listening activly and empathetically to try to understand the motivations and context behind the dissenting opinion, being willing to adjust plans or acknowledge when you may have been wrong, speaking last and encouraging others to speak before you to avoid influencing their opinions, and if a matter of principle is at stake, document your dissent in writing.

Coven Member Limit:
13 is a sacred number within spirituality but especially within witchcraft. That being said, this coven has a limit of 13 members at a time, meaning if at any point a coven sister decides to leave for any reason and at any time, she opens space for a new member to join.

Secrets Within The coven:
What we practice does not need to be hushed outside the coven, however if there are disagreements or disputes between coven members, gossip and drama made secretly within and/or outside the coven is unacceptable.

Member Requirements:
Female, between the ages of 15 and 50, does not abuse drugs/alcohol, has their own craft, and practices/studies their craft consistently.
