What we’re about

Imagine this:
You're walking down a busy street. Cars and people are hustling around. You stop infront of a glass door with a beed curtain hanging behind it. A big sign hangs above you. It's a crescent moon with raindrops hanging from it like chimes. There's a sign against the glass from the inside thay says "Class in session. Please enter quietly". You pull the door open gently and walk through the beed curtain. The door closes behind you and all the noises of the busy street suddenly fade and all there is to hear is a soft melody. All there is to smell is incense, coffee, and old books. Infront of you is a sleek wall and against that wall sits a wooden desk, and a lady behind it typing on a keyboard. She looks up at you and greets you with a smile and a soft "welcome". Over her head, against the wall, is a sign that says "Moon Drop Studio" and the same logo of the crescent moon that hangs outside. On both sides of the desk are open archways. To your left, you find a quaint little coffee shop. Covering the wall at the end are book shelves filled with books, and vinyl records. You walk up to the counter where a man stands brewing a cup of coffee. Behind the glass are pastries displayed neatly. In a corner to the left, against the window, is a record player quietly playing soft jazz. You order an esspresso and turn away to find a book nook at the other end of the room. Covering that wall are also book shelves filled with all kinds of books. Against the window to the right is a low sitting velvet couch. Pillows sit neatly against each other and a cat is curled up on one of the arms. Infront of the couch is a low, long wooden coffee table. At the wall across from the window sits a leather arm chair and a taller, circular coffee table. On the hardwood floor lays a fluffy circle rug. You take a book from one of the shelves and sit down next to the puring cat. You set your coffe down and lean back into the couch taking in the peaceful atmosphere. 15 minutes go by and you begin to hear movement from within the archways. Another moment and people begin to emerge. Yoga mats in hands, bags over shoulders, and calm expressions. They speak openly to one another and suddenly the atmosphere becomes more lively. They exchange hugs and see-you-again-soon's, and the door opens, letting in the breeze and the busy sounds of the street. The door closes again but people linger as they talk softly to one another. Someone orders a cup of coffee and takes a seat in the chair across from you. It's the Yoga instructor. You introduce yourself and ask about the studio. They offer you a quick tour of the back and you follow behind them egear to see behind the scenes. As you walk through an archway you immediately enter a large open space. The walls are low and painted a light sage and the same smell of insense fills the room. At the end of the room in the center, a yoga mat lays horizontally. In the corner to the left are sound bowls and musical instruments. In the corner to the right are potted plants. To your right by the archway is an open closet and inside are cubbies holding yoga mats, yoga blocks, blankets, and stretching bands. To your left near the other archway is a small apothecary stand displaying herbal remedies for sale, as well as many open cubbies for students to place their things during class. You come to find that this a place meant for you. You thank the instructor for their time and make your way to the front desk. The receptionist offers you a business card and a booklet filled with exciting information on retreats, sound baths, and gatherings. Now, you can't wait to take a yoga class, grab a coffe, and lounge with a book to read!

This is my vision of Moon Drop which is a Yoga Studio coming to you soon! As I wait patiently to bring this vision to fruition, I am building a community of like-minded spiritual yogies who love tarot, palm readings, sound healing, full/new moon gatherings, nature hikes, and retreats. ALL are welcome <3
