What we’re about

Imagine being isolated from work, school, and friends

due to not having feminine supplies.

This actually happens to females every day in many countries. According to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) one in ten school-aged African girls do not attend school during menstruation because they lack basic necessities like sanitary towels.  This means that some of the most vulnerable girls in Kenya miss school for four to five days each month.

Studies conducted by the Federation of African Women Educationists (FAWE) and UNICEF show at least four lost days every month is the equivalent of two weeks’ learning in every school term, and six weeks lost in a year.

The Moonpad Meet Up is meet up that hopes to fundraise, develop marketing strategies, and to make moonpads available to communities that in dire need of an alternative that is an alternative to Sanitary towels/napkins.
