BYOB (BRING YOUR OWN BEAMER)
Co-presented by Aurora Picture Show and The Menil Collection
Location: The Menil Collection front lawn – 1533 Sul Ross
Free Admission

Aurora and The Menil Collection co-present this lively, annual evening of community-sourced projections covering the museum’s façade. Originally inspired by artist Rafaël Rozendaal’s Berlin events and the spread of global BYOB gatherings, this free outdoor event has become a Houston tradition for creative participants and picnicking audiences alike for over a decade. We encourage attendees to bring their own blankets, chairs, snacks, etc.

About this M&M Event:
The official event starts at 8:30 after it gets dark. I have set the M&M event time for 7:30 so we can gather for a BYOP (Bring Your Own Picnic) dinner or just to hang out together.

You can join us at any time.

Gathering Point:
My plan is to get there early and set up a space for us. I'll leave a comment. If anyone arrives before me go ahead and grab some space and let us know.

I anticipate that once the projections start, people will want to move around on our own to see them.

What to bring:
Chair, cooler, picnic and beverage if you are in on the BYOP.

About:
Aurora Picture Show is a Houston-based non-profit media arts organization dedicated to expanding the cinematic experience and promoting the understanding and appreciation of moving image art.
