"Much Ado About Nothing" at George Memorial Library

ABOUT THE EVENT: Fort Bend County Libraries and The Live Oak Playhouse will present the Shakespeare-by=the-Book production of "Much Ado About Nothing," one of the Bard's most enduring romantic comedies.

Per Wikipedia: "The play is set in Messina and revolves around two romantic pairings that emerge when a group of soldiers arrive in the town. The first, between Claudio and Hero, is nearly scuppered by the accusations of the villain, Don John. The second, between Claudio's friend Benedick and Hero's cousin Beatrice, takes center stage as the play continues, with both characters' wit and banter providing much of the humor."

The Live Oak Playhouse is a nonprofit community theater in Missouri City, dedicated to presenting
entertaining, thought-provoking arts education to its audiences.

The performance will take place at George Memorial Library in Richmond beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the library’s Jodie E. Stavinoha Amphitheater.

Pre-performance entertainment will begin at 7 p.m.

Seating in the outdoor theater is concrete, so theatergoers are encouraged to bring stadium seats or cushions. Beach and lawn chairs will be allowed in two designated rows ONLY, and space is available strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Theatergoers may bring bottled water. Water fountains and restrooms are available inside the library's Bohachevsky Gallery. Glass bottles and alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
