This is a group for foodies! We will be enjoying Calgary's best food establishments.
Directions for attending our events are as follows..
1. Click to join the event. This only puts you on the wait list. At this point you are NOT confirmed to attend the event…even though your meetup may say you are going!
2. E-Transfer the event host the deposit amount listed for that event. A deposit is required for the member AND any guest. Please do not send a deposit, unless you are sure about attending the event.
3. Send a message to the host AFTER you send the e-transfer (don’t forget tell the host which event the deposit is for)
4. Once the host receives your deposit, they will reply to your message letting you are going to the event. YOU ARE NOT CONFIRMED AS GOING, UNTIL THE HOST CONFIRMS THEY HAVE RECEIVED A DEPOSIT AND MOVES YOU FROM THE WAIT LIST, TO THE GOING LIST ON MEETUP. If you do not hear from the host within 2 days of sending your deposit, it is your responsibility to contact them.
5. At the event, you will receive your deposit back.
6. Getting moved to the going list is based on when your deposit is received, not by when you joined the wait list. If you are unsure of any information provided in this email or on the event details, please reach out to the host as soon as possible. Please do not wait until the day before the event or the morning of the event. Thank you for being a part of this group!

Aloha Modern Kitchen
Aloha Modern Kitchen, 5920 Macleod Trail,, Calgary, AB, CAWe have been seeing no shows at every event this year. To combat this, I am putting a $5 deposit requirement on those who are new to my events.
Regular attendees - there is no deposit for you, but please honour your RSVP or update before the deadline.
Spots are still first come first served. We will see how this goes for a bit before having to move back to a deposit for everyone. Thanks for understanding

You will receive your deposit back at the event.

Let's Brunch! Palomino Smokehouse

Palomino is one of my favourite brunch sports in town. Not only is the food and venue fantastic, the CJSW annual cards give us 50% off brunch. This means for $10 I can get a 1/2 lb brisket, scrambled eggs, toast, AND hashbrowns or salad any weekend day until October 2026. Get your CJSW card here - $35 Donation – CJSW Radio (make sure to give yourself enough time for it to get mailed to you). Don't forget to tip on the total before discount!
