SenseBand was founded by a rising high school senior through the Loudoun Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) program with a vision of creating a product that supports individuals with sensory needs.
What began as an entrepreneurial idea has evolved through customer discovery, product testing, and firsthand learning about the diverse sensory preferences of potential users. As the business continues to grow beyond the YEA! program, the founder is focused on refining both the product and the business strategy while learning from experienced entrepreneurs and the local startup community.

1 Million Cups is a free, national program developed by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation that brings entrepreneurs and communities together to learn, connect, and grow over coffee.
Each gathering features a local entrepreneur who shares their business journey, current challenges, and opportunities before engaging in an open discussion with the audience. It's a welcoming environment where ideas are exchanged, connections are made, and businesses move forward through community support.
