Pitch your startup!

Pitch practice is on again! We're giving you, the upcoming new startups of Perth, a chance to practice your pitch in front of the non-intimidating and supportive Morning Startup audience.

Why pitch?
Because communicating what your startup is about is an essential skill that only gets better with practice. Every pitch will teach you something about the way you tell your story, allowing you to refine it so it has an even bigger impact on the next audience.

This is a great opportunity to get some practice under your belt in a casual, friendly atmosphere.

The plan
Each startup gets exactly three minutes to pitch and two minutes to answer questions from the audience.

Only three minutes? WTF?!
Yeah, that's right. Being able to communicate your startup's value in under three minutes is a handy skill to practice. Three minutes prevents waffling, keeps the audience listening, and gives more people the opportunity to have a go!

You need a short, succinct pitch that clearly communicates:

1. The problem you're solving.
2. Who the customer is.
3. Why your startup is unique.
4. Can it be copied? Does it stand out? Is it interesting in some way?
5. The market opportunity.
6. How you are going to market/sell.
7. Call to action. Are you looking for investment, co-founders, talent, advice?

You must be available to pitch in person at Riff (45 St Georges Tce, Perth) between 7:30 am and 9:00 am on Wednesday August 17th.

Note: We're looking for innovative, early-stage startups or ideas. Do not apply to pitch a traditional service/business such as a business/life coach, marketing agency, accounting firm etc.
