Local Innovation, Global Impact: Founders Factory's WA Accelerator

Details

What if your startup could plug straight into a global network that’s helped 400+ companies raise over $4 billion in follow-on funding?

This year, the Financial Times named Founders Factory the #1 startup hub in the UK—and now they’re here in Western Australia, running two accelerator programs in partnership with the WA Government and Rio Tinto.

From their Perth base, Founders Factory supports 12 startups each year with capital, a four-month accelerator, direct access to industry and government leaders, and a global community of founders, investors, and partners.

At this session, you’ll:

  • Hear from Tamryn and Charlotta of Founders Factory Perth about the program, investment themes, and why WA is uniquely placed to lead in the blue and green economy.
  • Get the inside story in a fireside chat with two WA founders who’ve been through the accelerator:
    - Matthew Dodd, Founder of EcoGas; renewable energy and carbon capture from timber and green waste.
    - Henning Prommer, Co-Founder of Ekion; low-impact mining using electrokinetic in-situ recovery.
  • Ask your questions in an open Q&A and learn how to apply for the next cohort kicking off in February.

If you’re building in mining tech, nature tech, or want to see how WA startups can scale globally while staying rooted locally, this is a must-attend.

Agenda:

  • 7:30 am: Shameless plugs and announcements. Introduce yourself or announce your startup to the Perth startup community!
  • 7:45 am: Local Innovation, Global Impact: Founders Factory's WA Accelerator
  • 8:30 am: Networking & delicious breakfast treats
  • 9:00 am: Finish
