About the Event
This isn’t Shark Tank—it’s Morning Startup, where pitches are fast, fun, and full of community spirit. We’re trialling our classic pitch format with a for-good twist: social enterprises, NFPs, and purpose-driven founders will share their three-minute ideas for making the world better. Expect supportive questions, sharp judge reflections, and plenty of practical offers from the floor—because at Morning Startup, nobody gets eaten, but good ideas definitely get fed.

Who it’s for

• Social enterprises, NFPs, and mission-driven founders (idea to growth)
• Community members keen to help with skills, intros, pilots, and practical support

How it works

• 3 minutes to pitch (you’ll be clapped out at 3:00)
• 2 minutes of audience questions and constructive feedback
• Judges’ reflections - bringing their NFP & social enterprise experience
• Community offers from the floor (skills, intros, pilot partners, resources)

Have a social enterprise, NFP initiative, or purpose-led startup? Share your 3-minute pitch with the non-intimidating, supportive Morning Startup community and get real-time feedback plus hands-on offers to help. You’ll make a clear ask of the community (not just $$), and our experienced social enterprise judges will share quick reflections to sharpen your next steps.

What to ask for - think beyond funding!
• Developers/designers/product & data help
• Pilot partners/customers (schools, councils, health, community orgs)
• Intros to mentors/advisers/board members
• Marketing/storytelling support
• Software credits/tools
• Volunteers for user testing, service design, or impact measurement.

Message the organisers to get on the list - we'll need your deck 1 day before the event. Spots are limited.
