It’s West Tech Fest week — the one time of year every founder pretends they’re well-rested, well-funded, and definitely not three bad decisions away from shambles.

So, to honour the truth behind the theatre, Morning Startup is proudly hosting:

Morning Startup F*ckups!

This is a morning dedicated to the beautiful disasters: The launches that face-planted, the “oops” moments that became full-blown fires, and the brilliant ideas that absolutely never should've seen daylight.

It’s all the messy, unfiltered reality that usually gets left out of keynote presentations, served up with humour, honesty, and just enough self-awareness to make us all feel better about our own questionable decisions.

Come hear three outstanding (and brave!) entrepreneurs reveal the moments when things went sideways… and what they learned while sweeping up the debris.

### Our Speakers

David Carbines – Co-Founder @ Cogsflow
David has spent years helping social enterprises survive the chaos of growth, so naturally he decided to build a fintech and experience the chaos firsthand. At Cogsflow, he tackles the cashflow crunches that quietly kill eCommerce businesses, while navigating a fair share of “learning opportunities” of his own.

Note: Dr Josephine Muir (Co-Founder @ Noisy Guts) was originally scheduled, but can no longer join us due to unforeseen circumstances, David has boldly stepped into the f*ckup spotlight in her place. Thanks David!

Dr Genevieve Hohnen – Co-Founder @ The Volte
Genevieve set out to reshape global fashion consumption. Naturally, that meant wrestling with human behaviour, sustainability, psychology, and the occasional plot twist that no modelling could have predicted. She’s danced between academia, elite sport, and startup chaos — and lived to tell the tale.

Richard Forshaw – CTO @ Instatruck
Richard has worked across F1 racing, laser eye surgery, rail automation, and logistics — industries where things absolutely must not fail… which, of course, means he has seen them fail in spectacular ways. As Instatruck’s CTO, he’s become used to knowing that while things might be delivered on time they might not be delivered in one piece!
