Dylan Lamb, an entrepreneur, engineer, and designer, has returned to Perth after working in Brisbane as an Operations Manager in the e-scooters & micro-mobility industry. His experience in this highly competitive industry provided unique insights into managing strategic growth and operations, two crucial but often conflicting business activities.

Combining his previous experience in growing a prominent strategic and systemic design business in Perth, Dylan learned that there is no universal approach to growth. However, he discovered frameworks and practical questions that can bring clarity and focus to achieve strategic growth objectives aligned with daily operations.

In his engaging 30-minute talk, Dylan will cover the following topics:

  • Growth Ops insights: Effective tools and techniques for driving growth at both individual and business levels, with a focus on design tools, open-source resources, and strategic planning.

  • Strategies for successful growth experiments: Designing and implementing growth experiments, allocating dedicated time for experimentation, and developing a resilient approach to adapt and thrive in different business environments.

  • Defining good growth and prioritising well-being: Understanding the significance of aligning growth with personal values and well-being, and learning strategies to prioritise health and well-being while pursuing sustainable and meaningful growth.

If time permits, Dylan will also share his thoughts on personal growth, productivity, and his experiences—both positive and negative—with biohacking techniques.

About Dylan:
Dylan, originally from Kalgoorlie, has primarily worked in Perth throughout his life and career. He obtained his undergraduate degree in civil engineering from the University of Western Australia and worked as an engineer in the USA and Australia for five years. He later transitioned into strategic and systemic design and successfully grew Holonic, a leading strategic and systemic design business in Perth, for several years. Dylan then worked in a micro-mobility tech startup as an operations associate and manager. Currently, he is self-employed and works as a designer at Thrive, Human.
