Meeting Location: Pyramid Mountain visitor's center parking lot.
Difficulty: Moderate
Hike distance: 5 to 6 miles
Time: About 3.5 hours to 4 hours

Description: An easy to moderate hike at Turkey Mountain. There are a couple of climbs on the hike, but they are not exceptionally long and moderate in steepness. A significant part of the hike will be easy. There are views of Lake Valhalla and NYC. The hike also passes by a waterfall on which the water flow will be dependent on recent rainfall.

Important Notes for the hike:
1. We will meet in the Pyramid Mountain Visitors Center and then walk across the street to Turkey Mountain.
2. If the parking lot is full just park on the side of the road
3. Hiking boots are recommended as the trails could be muddy.
4. Daypack to carry extra clothing, sufficient water and your snack.
5. Bring Insect repellent.
6. There is a porta-a-potty in the parking lot Restroom facilities are located inside the visitor’s center although I cannot guarantee the visitor’s center will be open at 9:30 AM..

8. The visitor’s center is about a 20-minute ride from the VFW meeting location.
9. After the hike we may go to a nearby bar and grill.
