This is a two part event- please read description carefully.

Hike:

We will start out on a hike at the Cooper Gristmill in Chester at 10:30am. The entrance to the parking lot is directly across the street from The Old Mill Tavern. Hike is approximately 4 miles. Park in the Cooper Gristmill parking lot. We will meet at the entrance to the trail near the Gristmill, hike along the Black River Trail to Kay Environmental Center, and back. We will be moving at a moderate pace and there are some moderate inclines. This is scenic hike and we will stop along the way for pictures. The Cooper Gristmill was built in the early 1800's and is a historical landmark.

Dress in layers and bring water, snacks and appropriate footwear. Dogs on leash are ok. Port-a-John in lot.

**Oktoberfest: Chubb Park, 290 W. Main St. Chester. Located right down the road from the Cooper Gristmill! This Oktoberfest features an authentic German band and dancers, beer, and specialty food including bratwurst, spaetzle, large pretzels and plum cake. $7 entrance fee and food/ beer available for purchase . They take cash or credit. Unfortunately dogs not allowed at the Oktoberfest. There will be a large tent with tables. We will try to sit together but may need to break into smaller groups . There will also be activities throughout the day such as a stein holding competition. There will also be a car show at the location.

Please drink responsibly! Be respectful of other guests.

Severe inclement weather may cancel or postpone the event. If you want to skip the hike meet us here afterwards that's ok- approximate time is around 12:30pm. Further details to be provided closer to the date.
