All the videos are also up, so have fun!
Back at A LEGNA once again, please do the following 3 things to express our gratitude:
- Say hi to your waitstaff and MARCO (the chef)!
- Patronize their establishment! (I.e., order food and drinks.)
- Over-tip!
Our most frequent guest host, Al Foster, will be back this month, and I think he'll be angry. Or at least... he'll pretend to be. (It's really hard to be angry while playing ukulele...) He's bringing us 10 (mostly) angry songs, so let's pretend to be angry too!
We'll follow our usual agenda with a play-along to our new "PROTEST Songbook" (linked above) preceded and followed by a round-robin style jam. Bring a song to play for us or lead us in playing with you, your choice. We promise to be a generous and encouraging audience. (Bonus points for following the theme, but as always we'll enjoy your songs, whatever you bring.)
PROTEST SONGBOOK songs:
-- Angry Young Man (Billy Joel)
-- Apeman (The Kinks)
-- Beds Are Burning (Midnight Oil)
-- Chicago (Graham Nash)
-- Fortunate Son (Creedence Clearwater Revival)
-- Marvin Gaye Medley
-- Street Fighting Man (The Rolling Stones)
-- Sunday Bloody Sunday (U2)
-- Takin' It To The Streets (The Doobie Brothers)
-- Won't Get Fooled Again (The Who)
As always, any song you bring will be highly celebrated. Have fun prepping or DON’T prep at all but COME OUT AND PLAY!!!
