What we’re about

Hi Everyone,

Several months ago I was hired "Spirit of the Children Society" full-time to support Indigenous Families throughout the lower mainland.

I was then asked to facilitate the Men's Circle there for Indigenous Men as well.

There are two other groups I do as well where I facilitate a program on the Basics of Healthy Relationships

1. MenTOR Men Transforming. Our. Relationships https://mentorbc.org/
We've serve men in probation, custody battles, separation, and self-referred
2. https://www.sourcesbc.ca/counselling-men/ Mending, do the same as number 1. just with more trauma informed focus and interest
^
These are 16 week programs from start to Finish 1. on Thursdays and 2. on Tuesdays.

You can sign up on the websites if that interests you.

Soon I'll be running 4th Men's Group on Kwikwetlem reserve also for Indigenous Men with an Elder.

Prior to all this, I was just running one men's group for Mortal Mens through the Neighborhood house with very little pay.

Now I am running four, all of which fully paid gigs. Along with that raising a family of my own.

I can't run groups unless I am being paid fairly, unlike before I was generous with my time and had minimal commitments. Now, I am proud of how I've grown, whom I've grown with, and the men I've worked with. It's great to be paid well for amazing work men need.

Mortal Mens' Gatherings is currently pending in terms of meetups. I'm curious in the future how I'll combine what I do now, with this meetup group in the future, which is uncertain as of now.

Thank you for reading.

Sincerely,
Joseph
