Sunflower stroll @ Mckee- Beshers WMA (Poolesville)

The sunflowers are back! They typically bloom around mid July- early August, & are a fantastic backdrop for outdoor photos. Since the surrounding land is in a Wildlife Managment Area (WMA), expect primitive conditions & a plethora of BUGS! (mosquitos & ticks)

We will journey to one of the more accessible fields, & take photos/ admire the rows of sunflowers. All encouraged to don YELLOW clothing. Then we will stroll along the C&O towpath towards a walk-in-campsite (horsepen branch) before turning around.

Park @ Sycamore Landing, on sycamore landing rd, off river rd. Drive to end of road for meetup parking lot.

notes- (1) appropriate attire (closed-toe shoes, bug spray) ; (2) dress in YELLOW encouraged, or any other colorful outfit.
