Join MokshaJyoti, of Moss & Moksha, for a vibrant and heart-opening evening of kirtan. This is not a quiet, passive concert — it’s an embodied, rhythmic, tribal like communal singing circle rooted in the Bhakti yoga tradition. Expect quiet moments of grounding meditation woven with bursts of drumming, chanting, stomping, movement, and ecstatic communal joy.

Together we’ll chant simple mantras, drum, clap, and sing like a living choir. Expect a warm, earthy, tribal-inspired vibe where voices weave together, rhythms pulse, and music becomes a shared prayer.
Kirtan is a joyful, call-and-response form of singing from the Bhakti yoga tradition—the path of devotion and divine love. Together we’ll chant simple mantras, drum, clap, and sing like a choir, opening the heart, quieting the mind, and remembering that we belong to something bigger than ourselves.
What is unique about this gathering:

  • Inner child play – You’re invited to be tender, goofy, loud, soft… to rediscover the part of you that loves to sing without worrying how it sounds.
  • Tribal, earthy vibe – Expect drums, shakers, stomping, clapping, and communal rhythms—not a polished concert, but a living, breathing, pulsing prayer. You are encouraged to bring a shaker!
  • Community sharing – We’ll make space for gentle reflection and optional sharing so you can be witnessed and held by community.
  • Trauma-informed space – You’re always free to sit, lie down, move, or be still. Participation is an invitation, never an expectation. Consent, choice, and nervous-system safety are honored throughout.

We’ll flow from stillness into ecstatic song and gentle movement, letting the body express what words cannot. You’re welcome to:

  • sing, hum, or simply listen
  • play shakers and small instruments (some will be provided)
  • move or dance in your own way
  • rest and receive when you need to

No musical or mantra experience is needed—just a curious heart. Come as you are, with your voice, your body, your breath, and your willingness to be moved.

Price: $20
If this amount feels out of reach right now, you are still warmly welcome. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
