sip & scribble is our monthly creative merienda for mums and their little ones to have a creative and welcoming place to land after a busy week. we roll out big paper, lay out a glorious mess of mark-making tools, and let the kids scribble, smudge and explore with no project and no pressure.
you get a proper drink and a proper sit down.
What happens
- The kids: open-ended mark-making on big paper. There’s no right way to do it, and mess is welcome.
- You: a hot or cold drink - special tea selected to match the season and the energy of the month! and a table of women who get it.
- Bring your own craft: knitting, a sketchbook, embroidery, a journal, anything you’ve been meaning to get back to. Or bring nothing and just sip. Both are perfect.
- Merienda: a little something to snack on, because it wouldn’t be merienda without one.
Who it’s for
- Mums of babies, toddlers and little ones
- Creative women who want to make something while the kids make a mess
- Women who are new to Málaga and looking for friends
- Women who are pregnant, or wondering about motherhood. You’re welcome too, kids or no kids.
Good to know
- Wear clothes that you wouldn't mind getting messy

About Mother/Maker
Mother/Maker is a child-friendly creative community in Málaga for women in transition, built around collective care, creative expression and real friendship. We run park aperitivos, creative mornings, evenings out and more, and we’re building a physical space for the community to gather.
