What we're about

http://mothermeera.org.uk/

This group offers a space in which to meditate, pray, go within, or just rest in one's Being. Though inspired by Mother Meera, the group is in no way sectarian or exclusive: all are welcome, of all faiths and none. Those with a meditation or prayer practice are welcome to use it, providing it is silent and doesn't disturb others. Those without a practice may sit in silence, or practice 'japa', the silent repetition of any holy word, name or prayer. The core of the meeting is a period of meditation, lasting approximately 30 - 45 minutes depending on people's wishes. There may be a short reading before or after the meditation. Usually there will be tea and snacks and the opportunity to meet other guests. For information on Mother Meera and groups throughout the UK, see: http://mothermeera.org.uk/

Mother Meera in London

Kenton Hall

Info and free Booking here: https://mothermeera.org.uk/ Darshan is Mother Meera’s Blessing – Her benediction to humanity. It is a transmission of Light, Love and Divine Grace, which Mother gives in total silence. In Darshan, Mother bestows light upon the soul and answers individual prayers. Literally, in Sanskrit, Darshan means ‘Seeing’ or ‘Vision’ and refers to seeing the Divine, or being in the Presence of the Divine, or a Divine being. Darshan is given entirely free of any charge or payment of any kind. Info and free Booking here: https://mothermeera.org.uk/ Darshan takes place in silence. At the end, when the last person has had Darshan, Mother sits for several minutes in deep silence, giving a group blessing to all those assembled in front of Her. People of any age may have Darshan, including children, and provision is made for those who are unable to kneel or climb the stairs (if there are any) onto the stage or dais. Darshan takes place in a hall or other venue where people gather, seated in rows. When Mother Meera enters and sits on a chair, usually on a stage or raised dais, the Darshan begins. People are called, row by row, by one of Her volunteers to wait kneeling in a short queue. When the space in front of Mother is free the person at the head of the queue moves to kneel in front of Her with their head lowered (this is known as Pranam). She takes their head lightly in Her hands and holds it for a short while. When She lets go they raise their head and look into Her eyes. After a few moments Mother lowers Her gaze and they then get up and return to their seat. Q: When we have done pranam we look into your eyes in silence. What are you doing? MM: “I am looking into every corner of your being. I am looking at everything within you to see where I can help, where I can give healing and power. At the same time, I am giving Light to every part of your being, I am opening every part of yourself to the Light. When you are open you will feel and see this clearly.” “Mother told me that Love is the only force that can really change things permanently and it is through her Divine Love that she will ultimately change us all completely. Our job is to simply open to that Love so it can flow unrestricted and change us completely” Info and free Booking here: https://mothermeera.org.uk/
