What we’re about
I am 71. I like to push myself but I can't keep up with the groups I have ridden with. I like to go around Lake Natoma (for example) in about 60-70 minutes. I average 11-14 mph. Every group I try to ride with is composed of either much younger super fit riders that love to go as fast as possible or both younger and older riders who want to do 50 miles on each ride. I have to believe there is room for a different kind of group: Riders who like to push hard for the exercise, but don't mind stopping frequently to catch their breath. Riders who don't have to feel bad about falling behind (or getting ahead on a good day). Riders who want push their own limits but only for the self satisfaction, not the competition.
I'm looking to ride 1 to 2 hours. Elevations of maybe 300 - 1000 feet. Distances of 10-25 miles. Anybody out there interested?
I want to meet at the Historic Folsom Rail Station at 9 AM on Thursday August 8 to do a ride around the lake. Can I get 3 (or more) people to join me? If not I'll cancel on the site by August 6. Hope this works.
