6th Annual Elkins West Virginia Ride Led By Gus

Meet Up location: Afton Mountain, Exit 99 off I64E. There is a big kettle corn truck which parks in an abandoned parking lot immediately off the highway. Take a right at the end of the ramp on US250 and it’s the first right. It’s right there at the entrances to the Blue Ridge Parkway/Skyline Drive.

Start Time: 8:00 am.

Ride Mileage: This will be a longer ride with round trip estimated to be 380-400 miles. This is an intermediate + ride with lots of tight curves and narrow mountain roads. It is all paved.

Ride Leader: Gus

Destination: Elkins, West VA

Ride Summary: The ride is about 3 hours & 15 minutes each way. The 8:00am start time will leave time for lunch and to be back in Charlottesville around 5pm. Our first stop will be at the Confederate Breastworks Overlook on the Augusta/Highland County line. Other stops will be determined along the way.

If you have a pulse, motorcycle and are competent riding normal highway speeds on twisty roads you are welcome to join us.
