Yosemite and coast ride June 2018
Ride is Friday June 15th to Monday, June 25th. this 11 day trip is outlined below: this is still being tweaked! I am going to plan this for those that like motels, AND those that may wish to camp, whether to save a buck, or just enjoy the outdoors. We seem to get a mix, so will hopefully get a mix of people. Some locations may not allow for camping such as the stay in Marin, but it should work in most places. I am planning to motel it, but may alternate to camping in a few spots. Anyway, I am looking for some very experienced riders that are comfortable with high freeway speeds. There will be one day (Day 1) where we will ride freeway. This will be from Everett WA to Yakima. From there we switch to two lane highways and ride to Bend, OR to stay (7.5hrs). 2nd day were off to crater lake, lava beds N.P. Then on to stay in Susanville, Ca (5.5 hrs). 3rd day, from Susanville we head south thru Reno and down through Carson city, then south to Lee Vining area and over to El Portal, Ca to stay (6.75 hrs). 4th day, stay over to explore Yosemite all day. 5th day, spend morning doing a final drive through of Yosemite, then we head west to San Francisco (some Freeway involved) to turn on to Highway 101 and then Ride over the Golden Gate Bridge and ride a bit further to Marin city to stay (5 hrs). 6th day, we turn onto Highway 1 to ride the coast all the way up to Fort Bragg (5.5 hrs). 7th day, we leave Fort Bragg headed north on highway 1, riding up to Eureka (Redwoods country) to stay the night (6 hrs). On the 8th day we leave Eureka on 101 North and then ride all the way to Coos Bay (4.5 hrs). 9th day, we continue on 101 North from Coos Bay to Cannon Beach (5 hrs). Day 10, leave Cannon Beach and take 101 N. all the way to the Kingston Ferry, taking the ferry on the way home. The hotels and Towns we stop in, and travel times have been mailed out to all members that RSVP'd as of 12/10/17. If you join this ride after that date, be sure to message me with your email address and I will send you the info. I am looking to set this for departure on Friday June 15th, and returning on Monday the 25th. I think this will give us best weather, and good chance of all pass roads being open. But there are no guarantees. Let me know if anyone has any conflicts. The route should stay pretty close to what is above, but there may be some tweaking, and shifting here and there, but hotels are now set.

We are in store for big changes, if you want to be part of the new shaping of our group, suit up and show up and voice your opinions. We want to hear from you. See you on the road. Please post your ride suggestions on the message board under ride suggestions, they will be elevated to "Rides" on the main page within 24 hours typically. We are also seeking people to step up to be ride hosts, contact the organizer if interested. All I ask is you lead at least two rides per season, and be responsible. Msg me if you'd like to try it, no obligation.

Please feel free to message the organizer with any comments or input you'd like to offer. We're here because we love to ride, and what could be better than doing that with other like minded riders. Any suggestion that might improve the experience will always be welcome and considered. All riders and all bikes are welcome, just bring your love of riding and a good attitude to be welcome!

Be Safe.
