Picnic Ride to Gran Quivira

We will meet at 9:30 am at Smith’s - Tramway & Central. KSU at 10:00. We will head east on old 66 to Tijeras then head south on SR 337 for the twisties and scenic sites to Mountainair.

Those that live to the south and don’t want to come to the big metropolis can head south on SR47 all the way to US 60. Then take a left on US 60 and cruise all the way to Mountainar and meet the rest of us there.

In Mountainair we will gather up and then take SR 55 down to Gran Quivira for our picnic. For those not familiar with Gran Quivira, it is an old native and Spanish community with an old Spanish Mission like Abo and Quarai.

According to the current weather report Sunday should be 70 deg with some late afternoon/evening clouds and 0% percent rain.

Route home will be individuals choice, SR337 north from Mountainair or take US 60 and SR 47 back to your home.
