What we’re about
This group is open to all riders generally based in outer suburbs of Melbourne who share a passion for sport & sport touring motorcycles of all brands & styles. Group rides will have starting points regularly rotating around East, West and North locations, with occasional South as well and feature regular rest stops. Your bike should be able to travel at least 200km between fuel stops, comfortably cruise at 100km and safely tolerate most grades of urban & rural roads. No city scooters with small wheels, no shorts, thongs or T-shirts. Each starting point will usually take into consideration a close by petrol station to top up prior.
New members who genuinely identify themselves with their real names, not pseudonyms or Top Gun culture call signs and who also display a reasonable image of themselves in their profile are welcome to apply. Yes helmet images are ok. At least we know what you look like on a ride which is all important. There are plenty of other groups for egotistical speed demons who generally give motorcycle riders a bad rep and usually also end up on the end of a road shovel at some point. Go for it, this is not the group for you.
Whether you're a seasoned rider or just starting out, come join us for some well organised safe, scenic rides usually with a lunch stop somewhere or public event and share our love for two-wheeled adventures and group camaraderie. Social interaction and discussion is very important here. Let you guard rails down and connect with fellow riders of all ages and explore new routes. Introduce yourselves, talk about your bike experiences and be genuinely interested in engaging with others.
Please note; most rides will generally not feature the corner marker system and this is explained in the welcome letter.
