Palo Duro Weekend Ride

MTRA will be riding into Amarillo TX to enjoy the Labor Day Weekend. After leaving ABQ on Saturday, we will head to Portales to take in Dalley's Windmill Museum. Afterward, we ride into TX to Cadillac Ranch to view the famous art installation since 1974. We can even leave our mark on the caddies. Then we head to our hotel to relax prior to taking a free limo to the Big Texan for a nice steak dinner in an old saloon atmosphere. We can also tour the building and enjoy their gift shop. Sunday, we ride thru Palo Duro Canyon and then head to Caprock State Park. We can enjoy the beautiful land formations and roaming bison. Monday we ride home via I 40.
We are staying at the LaQuinta Inn and Suites by Wyndham, Amarillo Airport. 9305 East Interstate 40. (806)335-9572. Rooms are approximately $120/nite dependent on your needs and discounts.
