Destination: Shaffer Hotel & Zia Café, 103 W Main St, Mountainair, NM 87036
Join us for a great day on two wheels as we ride to the historic Salinas Pueblo Ruins. We’ll meet at Mimi's Cafe 4316 The 25 Way · Albuquerque, NM after breakfast at 9:30 AM, with kickstands up at 9:45 sharp. From there, we’ll roll out on Jefferson, head west to Montano-Montgomery, and then cruise south on Tramway. After catching the scenic stretch of old Route 66, we’ll make our way east through Tijeras before leaning into the curves of NM-337 as it winds over the mountains toward Mountainair.
Once in Mountainair, we’ll swing onto NM-542 and follow it to Highway 54, where the Salinas Ruins await. We’ll take time for photos and a little exploration among the ancient stone walls before riding back into town to enjoy lunch at the historic Shaffer Hotel and Zia Café.
The return leg will take us west on Highway 60 to I-25 for a smooth ride back home. This is a perfect mix of history, scenery, and riding fun—don’t miss it!
